1. Key Highlights

  • 79% of participants indicate a 100% likelihood of attending more wellness sessions.
  • Overall, the mental state of 95% of participants was positively affected after attending a wellness session.
  • Generally, participants report that sessions help them become more vulnerable with their feelings, engage in healthy introspection, and leave the group feeling “lighter” and more emotionally supported.

  • Number of Wellness events hosted: 23 (includes virtual sessions and webinars).
  • Total event participants: 122 direct session participants.
  • Number of Outreach events hosted: 4 major physical outreaches.
  • Total outreach participants: 459 individuals.
  • Communities/Institutions reached: Ikoyi Correctional Center and Triple Crown College.
  • Number of free community events hosted: 9 events.
  • Total community event participants: Approximately 53 participants.

5. Next Year’s Priorities

  • Project 2000 Minds: Provide 2,000 fully funded mental wellness sessions to young adults facing financial barriers by June 2027.
  • Scale Operations: Expand to 6 weekly virtual sessions to increase capacity and reach.
  • Resource Development: Launch at least two digital wellness products (e.g., worksheets, self-paced guides) and refine the curriculum repository based on participant feedback.

Summary Statement

Rec Room Wellness is making tremendous progress and positively impacting the mental health and well-being of individuals month after month. Since formally launching in June 2025, we have reached over 1,400 individuals through our various platforms, proving that our community-centered approach is both necessary and effective.
